Rothguard exists first and foremost to build the kinds of investment products that we want to invest in ourselves.
We don't start by asking what product we can sell. We start by asking how we want our own capital to behave, and what return drivers, strategies, and structures can help us get there.
That starts with how we see the world.
See Differently
First we look for non-obvious insights. We want to find the overlooked facts, imbalances, relationships, behaviors, or structural change that will matter.
Think Differently
We ask what the market consensus assumes, where those assumptions could ultimately be wrong, and then what second and third-order consequences might follow.
Decide Differently
We then determine what evidence matters, what would invalidate the emerging thesis, what risks have become more important, and what opportunities actually deserve further investigation. We have to test our thinking against reality.
Act Differently
Translating these worthwhile insights into portfolio construction, manager selection, risk management, asset allocation, or specific investment opportunities is our end goal. We ask ourselves: Because we now see the world differently, how will we position ourselves differently?
